Research has shown that technology through the use of Chromebooks will increase student engagement and lead to higher test scores. Additionally, there are many free software programs for Chromebooks to help support and supplement their curriculum, providing so many instructional options/opportunities, and will better aid me in differentiating lessons to fit the needs of all learners. My classroom does not currently have updated computers. Bringing technology into the classroom can open the door to endless opportunities for students. Having this set of Chromebooks will allow learning to be more engaging for students. Right now, we are missing the technological component of our learning. In math, these Chromebooks will allow students to use technology to apply their mathematical thinking and reasoning skills in math based activities. Additionally, the use of Chromebooks will engage students in literature activities and research. With technology at their fingertips, my students will be able to work to their fullest potential.
