One of the best ways to teach speech and language for younger students is play-based, which is difficult to do at the "big kid" table. A Navy Blue Round Carpet will allow younger students to sit and play comfortably during speech therapy activities, resulting in greater focus. Flex-Space Wobble Cushions will also provide alternative seating for students of all ages, including many students with sensory needs. Allowing students a choice in seating, as well as sensory stimulation, will help improve focus and motivation. I strive to provide the most engaging and accessible learning environment in order to help my students improve their speech and language skills, and I believe that access to these materials will make a significant impact. In addition to appropriate seating for play-based therapy, my preschool students would also greatly benefit from new therapy materials. The Positional Words Resource Box targets specific vocabulary that many young students on my caseload are working to improve. The Magnetic Fishing Set is a resource that can be used to encourage a variety of language skills during play, as well as a reinforcer for specific speech and language activities.
