I teach in an urban Title I school that serves students from PreK-8. Most of my students have been at the school since kindergarten, creating bonds that are similar to families throughout the school and the neighborhood. My students identify the school as a safe space to learn and grow. My students are energetic, inquisitive, and are literally sponges for new information. In this room of middle school students, we hold a myriad of perspectives and questions. We are a community, learning and growing with each day.
