The materials that I am requesting for my students will help them to dive into a good book. Esperanza Rising is a book about a close-knit family and the events they must overcome. We just need your help in getting everything into our classroom so we can get lost in a good book! The books will be used as the first novel in their seventh grade experience. I picked this book for my students so that they are able to enjoy reading a book and find a deep connection to the characters in the story. Students will also feel comfortable reading the Spanish in this book and will be able to compare the languages of Spanish and English. The composition notebooks will be a place for students to write about what they're reading, and keep and interactive notebook. This interactive notebook will allow for creative freedom and critical thinking. Students will be able to showcase their independence and individuality through these interactive notebooks!
