In today's modern society teachers have to compete with technology coming out at an unbeatable, remarkable rate. Students are exposed to everyday technology in the form of smart phones, the internet, gaming systems, and other technologies that are expanding and evolving at an exponential rate during the Technology Revolution that we as a society are experiencing. Thus, teachers have to incorporate those types of resources within the classroom in order to not only capture the students imaginations and attention spans, but to improve the overall abilities of the students to enter today's job markets with a pre-existing knowledge of the types of resources they will be expected to use. By incorporating the Mimio Smartboard technology, a budget-friendly interactive board, it mimics the touch screen technology, using a stylus, that students are already familiar with on a day-to-day basis based on the smart phones and tablets they may or may not have access to at home. By incorporating these in the classroom setting, students will begin to understand that what they are exposed to can be used towards their learning processes and understanding that they serve a critical function within society and the job market rather then just using them for only entertainment purposes.
