Every one of our scholars is in need of basic classroom supplies such as pencils, markers, and games to support their learning. I am asking for supplies that will be used every day such as Magna-tiles, Playdoh, and number bean bags to support my student's movement breaks throughout the day while being educational. I am asking for stickers and scented markers to reward students and make learning constantly fun for them. As a teacher of students living in the South Side of Chicago, I also am in need of adequate supplies in order to provide each of my students with the best possible education. Because of this, us teachers are in need of clipboards to track student data, wall adhesives to hang posters, dry erase markers and cleaner for our white board, and an easel pad to make anchor charts as a class. These necessary supplies will be used by teachers every day to help educate the students at Great Lakes Academy. Because each of our students are coming to us with little to no school supplies, I am requesting basic school necessities that will help my scholars receive all the resources that they deserve in school! By having these basic supplies available to them, my students will be better able to reach goals and succeed in school. Giving them adequate supplies shows my students that they are cared for, loved, and have the opportunity to do anything they want to in their lives.
