My classroom is made up of a group of energetic, determined 2nd graders who love to learn. The Tyler Heights community is very culturally diverse. 79% of my students are English language learners. Four of my students arrived to the United States within the last year. 90% of Tyler Heights students qualify for Free and Reduced Meals. The socio-economic status of many of our families presents challenges to our students daily. Despite hunger and instability in some of their home lives, our resilient students stay determined to meet their goals of attaining a bright future through high achievement in school. Our students know that anything is possible through hard work and kindness. They firmly believe in the promise of their own potential. Thank you for believing in them too.
