Throughout the year, my students will be creating a wonderful variety of art projects and classroom crafts related to the themes and topics we will be studying (both in Polish and English). With the use of paints, brushes, crayons and scissors students will design their own Mayan masks and Egyptian jewelry. We will be studying Early World Civilizations. Students will create Ancient Egyptian jewelry. They will paint and cut out their jewelry. They will use beads to simulate the look of semi-precious gems. We will also study Early American Civilizations and students will draw, color and cut out a mask shape, such as a jaguar face, from cardboard. They will use beads as mosaic “tiles” and colorful paper to decorate the mask. I want to provide for my students the absolute best supplies and experiences in art so that they continue having an interest in art by and after elementary school. I am so grateful for those of you who see the importance of art. I am so grateful for those of you who see the importance of art. Your donations will benefit our classroom and impact my students.
