As a reading teacher, I have had the privilege of seeing how one book is all it takes to change a child’s mindset about reading. My classroom provides a space for students with special needs to flourish across all content areas with literacy being the critical foundation to their success. The goal of this project is to hook reluctant readers with books as dynamic and diverse as they are. Creating a classroom library filled with books that every student can connect with is no small feat considering the varying interests and reading experiences each student possesses, however, I am confident that with your help we can leave a lasting legacy of literacy at our campus.

About my class
