I am teacher in a Special education classroom with students with multiple disabilities. My students ages range from 3 years to 6. Most have physical and intellectual disability. But don't let that fool you. They will surprise you with what they can learn and each one has a big heart for making you smile. At our school, we teach them the MOVE curriculum ( Mobility Opportunity via Education). We teach them the skills to be independent. They learn to sit, stand and how to walk. This classroom is always in motion. My students are in need of items that will help them to become independent (like adaptive toys that use a switch to make the toy move when they have limited range of motion in their arms) to adaptive lunch items( lips on plates so they can learn how to scoop their food or adaptive silverware).
