My school is on 100% free and reduced price lunch and are, currently on average, one year behind their peers in national averages. While we work to continuously move our reading levels up, the limited text offered by our school can make this work seem more daunting. They are hard working and bright kids, who by no fault of their own, are behind. They are so loving and forgiving that you would be hard pressed to find someone who could resist their inherent charms.
