Pencils and a sharpener are the tip of the iceberg in terms of the supplies we need. The students are so hungry for education, I think maybe they eat their pencils for snacks! We need pencils, a sharpener, and organization bins to keep our classroom clean and under control. Students leaving the room all the time to get pencils or sharpen pencils is distracting to the class, and the student who has to leave misses out on part of the class. Having organization bins will also cut down on wasted time, students won't have to shuffle through bins and papers to find what they're looking for when they have bins with folders that are clearly labeled.
