These materials will be used for a needle felting landscape project. Students will choose a poem about nature, and use it to inspire a needle felted landscape of their own design. Needle felting is a versatile textile artform that most of these students have not had the opportunity to try in past course work. Students will learn how to safety use the barbed needle tools required for adhering pieces of colored wool roving together. Wool pieces of various color will be layered on top of one another to create illustrious of depth. Student lives will be improved with this project, as they will have the opportunity to explore and experiment with a new media.

About my class
