I am asking for a class set of tablets with keyboards. Once this project is funded, my students will have a magnificent tool that will allow them to access millions of online resources. The classroom set of tablets are a day to day necessity as most of my students have very limited access to technology in their homes. The majority of them come from low-income households and 87% of them qualify for free/reduced lunch at school, which truly marks the gravity of their economic need. I will not allow lack of proper funding to hold my students back from being the superstar readers and writers that I know they can be. They are tech savvy individuals who would benefit greatly from having tablets in order to read the assigned texts and complete a variety of writing assignments.
