My students are very young and have little to no experience with a school environment prior to beginning in my classroom. Flexible seating options will allow them choices to decide where and how they will learn best. Giving my students small choices about their learning environment gives them more buy-in to their learning experiences. The wobble chairs and bouncy bands will allow my wiggliest learners a chance to choose an option that allows them to wiggle. When they get a chance to use these options, their minds are free to focus while their bodies get the wiggle they crave. The portable writing tables will allow extra options to create collaborative work groups in many different environments. I feel that giving my students choices can help to create a collaborative work space that allows my young learners to focus.
