As a first year teacher, I dream of having a classroom library that is filled with a variety of appealing and engaging texts for my 3rd graders. However, I have limited books due to my library being brand new. I want to fill my library with texts that my 3rd graders will want to read! Students enjoy reading when there are books that appeal to their interests! I conducted a survey in the beginning of the school year asking what books my students like to read. I have selected several series for my students, both nonfiction and fiction, to help get their reading up and running.
