I generally teach whole group on my Promethean board. With the use of these materials (velcro, adhesive tape, file folders, laminate) kiddos will be able to work in small groups while I am teaching and actually be able to manipulate the objects they are learning about. My students will be able to access math concepts, reading concepts, and communication all while I am doing whole group instruction. With these materials my students will be able to broaden their communication skills all while working on the curriculum. Since five out of my seven children are non-verbal this would be a huge game changer for my kids! I would love to give them more of a voice when it comes to their education. These materials not only allow my students a voice during educational time; students will be able to communicate their sensory needs. The sensory materials(floor tiles, sand, bouncy ball seating) will help students access materials to aid them in regulating their senses during overstimulating activities or time of day. My students currently seek out sensory materials; however, having access to more sensory play will be extremely beneficial for their health and well-being.
