My students are at-risk with low socio-economic backgrounds. Many students come from broken homes, some have learning disabilities and most are lacking essential reading skills. Some of my students live in acceptable conditions but they are lacking exposure to the written language and essentially the world. Our school is very supporting and makes decisions that are best for the students but we do lack funding for special resources.
