My students really need new tables that we can draw on. This is my first year teaching and we have avoided a lot of drawing projects because the tables are not smooth and it is very difficult for students to feel comfortable practicing drawing on. The supplies we had were old and unusable at the begging of the year, the supplies listed are what we really need and that the students took interest in and used most of. We need plaster wrap to cast our hands in different forms and paint them. I've even have a few students plaster their face for masks. These students did the research themselves on how to properly plaster their face. That is the reason I asked for more plaster wraps so they can continue to sculpt in different ways. The paint asked for is best for when we fire ceramics, plaster hands, even paint on canvas. I ordered some for the students at the begging of the semester and they have used most of the paint and I know students of next year would enjoy the same projects involving paint as well. If anything I am trying to get enough donations for supplies if tables are not an option. Anything donated will help the students expand interest in art and develop skills. This is my first year teaching and these kids deserve to have the supplies needed to do basic projects.
