As a brand new teacher, I am still building a sold supply of materials. More specifically, I would love to increase my intervention resource inventory. As we enter into the second half the school year, I have become aware of specific areas students need work on in the small group setting. These resources would not only make intervention more engaging but, also provide amazing opportunities for my students during our small group meetings! For example, the high interest books are wonderful for students that are working on increasing their reading level and overall comprehension. Vocabulary is also a big reason why students aren't able to meet comprehension goals. I would love to use the cards at my teacher table to engage students in learning and reading about new words! I can only imagine the endless opportunities for growth my students would have with these materials.
