This school builds skills that spiral up. Kids that learn tinkering k-2 will be designing with the material knowledge in their hands grades 3-8. Tinkering and Making is a step to "design think". Needed are safe shop tools like a vise and a drill for learning wood working construction K-8, and also requested for training classroom teachers. Our parents are asked to donate in to a general fund that is divided to all schools in the district. That is a perfect way to fund art and science programs but tinkering is a project based expense specific to this school and i am not allowed to ask parents to fund it.
