I was very fortunate that when I started teaching three years ago, my classroom library was donated to me by a retiring teacher, friends, and family who knew I was going to need a class library when I got my own classroom. Most of the books were older, but in good condition nonetheless. My students have loved having a class library. They have loved these books so much so that now, many of our current books are falling apart and have lost pages and/or covers. My hope is to gradually update our class library a little at a time with newer books that capture my students' interests.
