These books will give my students high quality literature for guided reading circles. It is important students learn to love reading, and understand that it is a tool they can use to stretch their imagination and open their minds. Students who love what they are reading, are engaged and thus, learning. These books will captivate their hearts and minds, fostering their love for reading. Books can speak for themselves. These books offer a variety of life lessons, morals, and perspectives to help my students grow as readers and as people. The books I am asking for are books that helped me learn to love and value reading. I am hoping that by exposing them to high quality books, it will set the bar high for the learning that happens in our classroom. These books are challenging yet meaningful. I want my students to know that I believe in their reading abilities by exposing them to books that are more than just a combination of words.
