My students, unfortunately, lack the ability to visit a school library. Some of these books deal with topics we will cover throughout the school year. Books dealing with topics such as The Periodic Table, Chemical Reactions, Evolution, The Timeline of Earth, Natural Selection, and Ecosystems can all be used by students and as a teaching tool for myself. Some of the books in this list are strictly for intellectual enjoyment during free reading time (which will now be possible through this project). My students love the outdoors so you will find many books about hunting, fishing, and general survival tips in this list as well. My students have a wide variety of reading levels, so in this list, I have included both visual encyclopedias as well as some heftier pieces of literature in order to appeal to all of the eager minds in my classroom. With this project, I would love to eventually be able to create a check-out system and open our mini-library to students in other grades as well, providing my whole school with its first actual library system!
