As a science educator, I have learned to use technology to enhance the learning experience for my students. Access to digital resources can allow students to participate in digital field trips, collaborate on in class research and accelerate their learning on topics that peak their interest. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate regularly - exploring natural occurring phenomena and enhancing their own understanding by constructing explanations in their own words and then discussing them with their peers. Middle school is such an important turning point for students in their development. Having the opportunity and resources to explore areas of interest will provide a foundation that will allow students to chose a satisfying career path. Science education can be challenging but it is also fun. I want my students to realize SCIENCE ROCKS!
