Students with different learning needs do not always thrive in what is considered a "normal" classroom. With the items I have chosen for my room, my students will be able to focus on their education instead of their behaviors. I chose lights to help make my classroom a more calming environment; the yoga balls and other chairs will offer alternative seating so my students can move quietly at their desks; the peddle systems and resistance bands will help my students who have ADHD be able to sit in a chair and still move quietly. Working with students with behavioral and educational needs, I have learned that a traditional classroom set-up does not always work. My students require constant movement while in a classroom setting in order to be successful. With the items mentioned above, I hope to be able to meet the physical needs of my students in order to help them be successful in their behavioral and educational needs.
