Math is an important subject that many students struggle with throughout their education at any grade level. It can be difficult learning different math concepts without any type of material or manipulative. As teachers, we need to meet the needs of our students and teach math concepts based on their unique learning styles. All my students have special needs and love to learn by working with their hands! This project will give my students the opportunity to learn multiple math concepts by using manipulatives in front of them. These resources will be used for both individual and group work. We will be able to use the cash register, clocks, and Bingo games to practice the critical life skills of money and time knowledge. The write and wipe boards and reading trackers will help us keep on track when we are tackling tricky word problems! And the Tower of Math games will provide us with an engaging way to review critical math concepts. My students need a hands-on approach when learning difficult concepts in math, and these materials give my students that chance! I can't wait to see how these materials give my students the opportunity to succeed!
