Our goal is to create a coffee cart for my students to work on vocational and functional skills. We would need a keurig, cart, coffee, and cups to get us started on this project. My classroom would use the Keurig machine and coffee would be made by my students and we would use the cart to deliver the coffee to teachers who have placed orders. This coffee cart would present learning opportunities accessible to all of my students. They would participate in prepping materials, taking orders, making coffee, and counting money. All of these are vocational and functional skills that would be beneficial to their lives once they leave my program. I hope to use this project to address many of my students goals from academic, occupational therapy, and speech. It would give us an opportunity to interact with our school and learn some more skills.
