My class is in need of a kidney shaped table in order to help me run my small group learning time more effectively. I currently conduct small group instruction at either a rectangular shaped table, or on the floor. I can realistically manage about 4-5 kids on the carpet, and at the rectangle table, I can effectively manage only 3-4 students. A kidney shaped table would make a huge difference in my instruction because that would allow 6-8 students to be in direct eye-line, and in hands reach to me; which will lead to more focused children, with less opportunity for distractions. Your donation to our project will help to improve and increase student attention and focus which will ultimately help to increase our academic achievement. With your help, my students will be provided a more comfortable learning environment that is conducive to maintaining their attention and engagement. In addition, I will be able to meet with more students on a daily basis, in a small group structure, which will provide more opportunities for effective individualized instruction.
