Placing important pieces of literature in students' hands is critical. In English I class, I want to ensure that my students are not only meeting their reading goals, but also accessing books that reinforce our message of the impact that each person can have on the world. Romeo and Juliet is a classic that will introduce students to Shakespeare and help them understand the profound impact his writing has had on contemporary culture. My students are voracious readers and are sure to love this play, with its tale of love, family feuds, and fate. As a new school, we need to purchase all materials for the first time. I want to ensure that even with a limited budget I am able to provide my kids with the same experience they would have if they were attending a fully grown school. I am asking for 170 copies of the Folger Shakespeare edition of Romeo and Juliet. Providing each student with their own copy of the Romeo and Juliet ensures that they can enjoy the book more fully and at their own pace.
