Guest speakers are awed by my students. Gallery owners and museum docents can't believe the insightful things out of my high schoolers' mouths. Selections committees are touched profoundly by my students stories. I teach the best 9th and 11th grade students in New York. Even though the majority of my students are from high-need communities, we have all a "no excuses" attitude, and expect only the best from ourselves and our peers. We don't want to ever stay stagnant. We want to keep growing our minds to prepare ourselves for college!
