My students attend public elementary school in Washington, DC and come from very diverse backgrounds and experiences! All of the students in my classroom have a love for learning and incredible aspirations to go to college and to become "doctors, spacemen and FBI agents." These students are especially unique because they are participating in a Spanish Immersion Kindergarten program; this means they spend half of their day learning in English and the other half learning in Spanish. My students are working extremely hard this year to improve literacy skills and their ability to read in not one but two languages!

About my class
