Room 42 is made up of 9 students in grades K-2 with Autism. We are full of energy and love learning! We particularly enjoy learning about animals, the weather, cooking, and places around the world. Our lessons often revolve around social communication and ways that we can work and communicate with our family, friends, and peers! Our school is situated in a low-income working class community in the Metro Phoenix area. The majority of our students are Hispanic who receive free and reduced lunch as well as breakfast during their school day. Technology and pictures give each of them the opportunity to be a successful communicator within the classroom.
