Middle school is hard for even the best students. It’s a challenging stage of life complicated by hormones, peer pressure and tackling new academic challenges. While I try my best to provide an engaging classroom atmosphere, sometimes even the cream of the crop get restless. This is where you come in - with a donation of standing desks for my classroom. With standing desks my students are given a chance to move their bodies so their minds can focus on my lessons. Flexible seating allows students to have more control over their learning environment. Currently I have yoga balls, floor mats, comfortable chairs, and clip boards. But my students who think and work best while standing are forced to bend over their desk. Standing desks allow students who have different learning styles to focus better on lessons.
