Intermediate students will use the Kindle Fire tablets to learn coding with Dot & Dash, as well as other coding apps. The primary and intermediate students will use the Legos as a means of expanding their imagination...the sky's the limit when it comes to building with Legos! Incorporating coding and STEM into my student's schedule will only stand to enhance their abilities and stretch their imaginations! I voluntarily gave up my $4500 budget that the previous librarian had raised in order to help save a staff position. We are currently operating with 4 desktop computers that are at least a decade old, no tablets of any kind, and when we want to use Chromebooks I have to have the teacher bring the cart with them to library. My goal is to continue to foster a love of reading as well as start building technology in the library!
