With a small art budget, it's hard to get more than markers and paper for my students. These materials could give my K-4th graders two great clay projects for the 2018-2019 school year. I want to keeps my kids engaged and growing, with great projects to look forward to all year. My kids surprise me with their generous spirits, and I often hear how a drawing or project is being made with the intention of giving it to a friend or loved one. I like to include projects throughout the year that use this spirit by having the students make gifts for friends and family. By being able to purchase clay, clay tools and the holiday cookie cutters all 5 of my art classes will be able to make both holiday projects and a Mother's Day project while experiencing the tactile qualities of clay ceramics. We will make holiday decorations and Mother's day gifts with the requested art supplies. My students love creating and deserve the chance to work with a wide variety of materials. Please help me provide them with two great projects that will allow their creativity to grow and teach them the spirit of giving as well.
