About my class

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy; I read on the carpet to them, they complete work there, and they read independently! The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. Social and emotional learning is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. These books will be used to teach social emotional skills in my classroom. I want to consciously create a nurturing, caring, and safe environment for students. The purpose of this set of books is to consider social and emotional learning as you would any other subject area as information and lessons worth explicit, planned instruction. These books are to ensure that students are supported and ready to take on the next phase of their academic and emotional lives with confidence.
