Young children are constantly on the move. Sitting in a classroom for hours on end is not easy for children of any age. Research has a direct link between movement and cognition. These flexible seating options will allow my students to move while they are learning! The donations for this project will improve my classroom by reducing the amount of behavioral issues, because I will be able to provide the appropriate stimulation that my students need. Students will be able to be completely engaged while moving without disturbing other classmates. With less behavioral issues in the classroom, we can increase learning and time on task. Giving students the option of sitting on ball chairs and wobbly chairs will allow for them to be engaged during lessons and activities throughout the day while moving. Students will be able to have flexible seating options which will allow for them to be more focused in the classroom! I am eager to see my students excited to learn while being able to have different seating opportunities that allow movement!
