3rd grade is a grade like no other. Students are just starting to find their hobbies and interests. My classroom is filled with students whom have many different personalities, abilities, and end of the year goals. In this class we focus on teaching to the whole child. Students are not just learning how to write in cursive, basic multiplication facts, or how to compose four paragraph papers. Students are learning how to be a good citizen, taking ownership, and developing a growth mindset. It is important in this class that we have a community in which students celebrate differences and show appreciation for others. We are often discovering our best learning styles and how students can take ownership over their education.
