The traditional use of textbooks and worksheets is often ineffective for students in special education programs. the use of Assistive Technology such as, computer software, communication devices and iPad's is now an innovative trend. Our class is requesting an iPad to assist students in meeting their individualized learning needs in order for them to be able to make growth and bridge the gaps within their regular educational classrooms. In our classroom, iPad's will be used for visual learning, reading and video watching and allow me as a teacher, to cater to each child's specific learning needs. These iPad's will be used to help students who have a hard time with writing tasks due to their disability, collect important data on student progress and help to supplement instruction in the classroom. On behalf of myself, my students, and my classroom team, we hope you will help us create a better classroom by getting this project funded!
