It is my classroom's mission to improve literacy. My students need books that focus on the subject material; cells, DNA, and genetics; but offer a fun spin outside of strictly informational texts. Our students will use the book The House of the Scorpion to explore science, cells, and the creation of life. They will be used for literacy circles; where students not only practice reading strategies but discuss what they have read with classmates. Your generous donation to our project will help to shape strong readers and writers. This will change our students' lives for the better. Increasing reading ability will lead to a love of reading and learning! This is what will pave the way for classroom achievement in the future.
