My students are energetic, inquisitive and eager to learn. I teach a special education day class program that focuses on teaching functional academics and social skills to students with special needs. My students are in grades nine through twelve and are working on increasing their communication and social skills in order to become a greater part of our campus community. I teach students who have Autism, speech and language impairments, developmental delay, Down Syndrome, and other health impairments. My learners teach me something new everyday with their perseverance and positive attitude. Each of my learners is unique in how they learn and access their education.
