Technology is ever increasing in today's society. It keeps students engaged and provides alternative methods for obtaining information. Introducing students to the proper way to use technology is a skill that has life-long benefits. Using technology in the classroom encourages collaboration and fosters interaction among students. These tablets will be used in learning centers, where students work independently or in small groups. The lessons and assessments provided on the tablets will coincide with our curriculum and reinforce the skills we are learning during whole group instruction. Use of the tablets will also teach the students responsibility. They will be responsible for completing assigned lessons. They will also be responsible for taking care of the tablets, teaching them good decision making skills.
