As a kindergarten teacher, I'm responsible for setting the tone for my students' entire educational career. Establishing this tone means I must create a learning environment that's welcoming, colorful, safe, and engaging; where my students are excited to be there and can develop a love of school and learning. This is a responsibility I feel very strongly. Unfortunately, teaching as I do in a low-income public elementary school, especially in these constrained times, only the barest of essentials are available. Thus anything more to enrich the students' learning experience must come from my pocket -- and with your generosity, perhaps yours as well. Thank you!
