An e-sports program allows students to interact with students from other parts of the country, develop leadership skills, and even compete for college scholarship opportunities. E-sports can provide a chance for students in remote locations to participate in a competitive sports program regardless of school size. An e-sports program will help build confidence and school spirit and allow my students to reap social/emotional education benefits. We will have a team that we can cheer for! We want to participate in the Electronic Gaming Federation which has both high school and collegiate divisions. Due to small school size, low band-width and limited computer resources, the best gaming choice for our school is Super Smash Brothers Ultimate played on the Nintendo Switch. We have 4 eligible players now but could have 5 or 6 in the future. Two Nintendo Switches would allow up to 8 players if we use wireless controllers and headsets.
