Instead of the traditional route of learning, memorizing and cramming all of the presidents into a year, our class has chosen a more personalized and student guided presidential research project. Each student has selected a president of choice to research and ultimately honor through the creation of artifacts that might be found in his presidential library. The final goal is to create a museum-like exhibit here in our school. What's the one of the most important components of any presidential library- the books! And we need your help to create our own presidential library book collection. Our students have HAND selected biography titles that will help with their research and provide a deeper understanding of the Executive Branch. This project not only aims to create a presidential research component, but it also designed to showcase student passion, creativity, and curiosity. My students will benefit from our presidential library museum creation, and also leave a legacy for presidential passion for future classes to come. I anticipate this project impacting nearly 50-100 students EVERY YEAR. The lasting effects from promoting student choice in reading are priceless. We thank you for supporting our exploration of America's leaders.
