These activities will be used in a small group, whole group and individually. My goal is to encourage students to apply these skills independently and gain confidence. Most activities are self-checking which allows students to learn at their own pace. The sandpaper upper and lowercase letters will be used to partner with a kinesthetic phonics training I did over the summer called Orton Gillingham. This allows the kids to have a tactile approach to learning. The robot letters allow students to manipulate and create letters in a fun interactive way. The lock and key help with recognizing upper and lowercase letters along with a picture clue.
