First grade is the vital year in developing reading skills. Being my first year in first grade, my classroom library is minimal. It is important to have books readily available that spark all students' interests to help in the development of this skill. We are requesting a plethora of books to choose from to enhance their journey of how to read! I have asked my kiddos to pick from a list of books that would interest them, and these books were among the top picks! Our titles include Amelia Bedelia, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Pete the Cat, Hi! Fly Guy and more. I hope to get this classroom library fully funded so each child has something new to choose from each day to read and grow with. It is a community effort to help these kiddos grow!
