My students are simply amazing! They have big hopes and dreams for their futures. Some of them want to be the first person in their family to graduate high school, go to college, or even move out of their neighborhood. They want to be doctors, mechanics, teachers, nurses, construction workers, cosmetologist, musicians, & more. Over 90% of my students live in poverty. Our school is rural Title I school in an extremely poor Southern state. Many of their lives outside of school are tough. Tougher than anything I've experienced in my life. BUT, they come to my Dual Credit (earning high school and college credits simultaneously) English Composition I and II, World Literature I and II, and SREB Literacy classes with a positive attitude and ready to work. I believe in my students & will do whatever it takes to to help them reach their goals.
