I teach in a Title 1 school and most of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Over 75% of our students are English language learners and many of my students are reading below grade level. They are not only trying to learn a new language and make connections to the world around them, but also learn how to read and comprehend both fiction and nonfiction text as well. Despite the challenges they face, my students are motivated to learn and I am determined to help them shine.

About my class
